Disneyland Paris Jan 2013

I know i have taken my sweet time to post about it but here it goes...
About 3am on the morning we were suppose to leave, Dru was throwing up. S&D bug! Nice! By 6.30 when we had to leave, he was no better so me, Max and Alfie decided to go without him.
So off we went on the loooong drive to Dover.
We arrived in good time (dispite a few pit stops for toilet breaks) and we were allowed to catch the earlier ferry.
I had made some lunch so we sat there eating that before heading to the soft play area on the boat.
The kids were happily letting off steam which i was grateful for because i know we had another 3.5 hours drive once we reached Calais.
Finally docked in Calais and started out the drive.
I had to read the instructions, drive and try to referee the kids arguments.
We arrived at the hotel and it was so snowy!
We had a snowman outside our little house....
The kids were knackered so we had some dinner and all went to bed.
Wednesday morning we woke up nice and early (Alfie woke me up at 6am which is 5am UK time- cheers Alfie) and we watched a bit of French Disney channel which is all that was on at that time in the morning.
We collected our breakfast and took it back to our cabin.
Once we had all finished and were all ready to go out, we headed to Disneyland.
As we were staying in the disney hotel, we could get into the park from 8am (normally opens at 10am) o we got there about 9am.
Not everything was open yet so we went on Dumbo, teacups and the carosel which were the kids favourite anyways!
Throughout the day we met Mickey, Minnie, Buxx, Daisy Duck, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and loads of others..
We went on all the rides the kids wanted to go on (some rides several times... DUMBO!!!)
We had lunch in the little diner and dinner in McDonalds.
The kids were soooo tired but we were hanging around because there was going to be fireworks at 7pm.
When the fireworks started, Alfie asked for a cuddle. I picked him up and he fell asleep straight away!
Even with all the banging, lazers, music, fire etc Alfie remained fast asleep! Poor little thing!
Max loved the fireworks! His face just lit up and it made all the hassle and stress of doing the trip alone worth it!
After that, we headed back to the hotel.
Alfie went straight to bed but Max was buzzing and bouncing off the walls!
He called Dru to tell him all about the day! After that, Max konked out! I wasnt far behind him either!
Thursday we all woke up and had some breakfast and had a chill out.
We headed to the hotel shop and bough a couple of postcards which we sent we were home.
Then we made the journey back to Calias.
We got to customs and they didnt want to let me back into the country!
My passport is still in my maiden name and they questioned who Max and Alfie were to me.
I told them that they were my children but they said they cant be as they are Thompson! I couldnt believe it! How many people out there must have different surnames to their children!? Madness.
I told them that my passport was still in my maiden name and they said i had to prove the kids were my and i hadnt stolen them.
I felt like saying "Do you want to see my c-sec scar?!" lol!
Luckily, i had my driving licence and all my bank cards, etc and they said that was fine. They said that if i didnt have them, i wouldnt of been allowed through but Max and Alfie could of gone through!? scratch
So once we were on the boat, we had some lunch, got a few bits in duty free and then watched Ice Age in the kids area.
Then once we hit British soil we drove back to Norwich.
I have to say, the ds was a life saver! Alfie slept a lot of the time but Max played his ds.
All in all, we had a great time!
