Mothers Day 2012

I was woken up at 7am by Max and Alfie jumping on the bed shouting "Happy Mothers Day!"
Max gave me some daffodils and i pretended i didnt know about them

then they gave me all their cards...
Max made this one at school- i thought the poem was cute!



Alfie made me 4 at playgroup... He love a bit of glitter so they couldnt stop him at just one card!




Then Max gave me a card that they bought

Then Dru gave me a card for being a good mummy and wife

and they gave me a teddy

After they had given me all my goodies, Dru told me to go back to sleep so i didnt argue!
I woke up at 9am to Max giving me a cuppa tea.
I popped over to see my mum for a little while during the morning (she liked her flowers and they came with free chocolates which she like too).
Then in the afternoon, we went out for a meal. We waited ages for a table, my chicken was cold, so was Dru's, Alfie's burger was rock hard so not great meal tbh!
All in all we had a nice day!

I forgot to say, when we were at the restaurant, Alfie tried to run after me and Max (we were going to toilet) he slipped and cut his chin It was really bleeding poor little thing!

Disneyland Paris 2012

We left our house at about 6.30am on Wednesday morning and made a quick pit stop at Tesco to get some petrol and snacks for the car and then headed to Dover.
Max and Alfie were awake the whole time and we arrived quite early so they bumped us to an earlier ferry.
The ferry ride went really quick and we were soon in Calais.
The drive to Paris took about 3 hours and we arrived at the Davy Crockett Ranch.
Once we'd checked in and taken our bags inside we decided to go to the farm... BIG disappointment! The Disney farm consisted of 3 goats, 2 rabbits an a horse (that you weren't allowed to see).
So after about 5 minutes we left and decided to go for food. The restaurant in the hotel was crazy priced so we decided to drive up the motorway to the next exit because we knew there was a mcdonalds there.
After some food, we were heading back and the boys started arguing about their happy meal toy and distracted me and i took a wrong turning and we ended up lost.
Luckily Dru had a sat nav on his phone and we managed to find our way back to the hotel.
By the time we got back to the hotel, the kids were knackered and ready for bed but instead of going to bed nicely, they decided to fight it and play up. They ended up jumping off the bunk bed and hurting themselves.
Finally managed to go to sleep and me and Dru settled down to watch One Born Every Minute on Dru's tablet.
After that i was knackered and fell asleep and it was a good job because Max woke me up at 5am (4am UK time)!!

After that, Max was awake for the day so i got up with him. A little while later Alfie woke up and woke up Dru so we were all up then...
At 7.30 we were able to collect our breakfast so we all enjoyed that back at our cabin.
After breakfast we all got dressed and before we knew it, it was 9 so we decided to make a move to the Disney Park. We arrived there at 9.15 and got to park right at the front (which was handy) and then we went to have a look round the Disney Village shops as the parks werent open until 10am.
By the time we'd looked round the shops and collected our tickets, we went in and thought that we'd see Mickey first. The kids loved it!
Throughout the day we met Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Pinocchio and Gepeto (sp? Pinocchio's Dad) and we saw Donald and Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee but the kids werent fussed on seeing them.
We went on some rides too.
There was one ride that absolutely made me pee myself! You had to sit down in a chair and went up high and then it came down quite quick and back up again, etc. The kids faces were so funny! They enjoyed it but were scared and it was just making me laugh so much!
Later in the day we watched the parade and the kids were so excited! They loved seeing all their favourites at the same time!
After a long tiring day, we left the park about about 6ish (when it shut) and headed back to Calais. By the time we arrived at the ferry port we just want to go home but were told that we were delayed and ended up waiting in our car for 2 hours! The kids were so ratty by the end of it!
Finally got on the ferry and the kids were over tired so threw tantrums but eventually we arrived back at Dover.
After the drive home, it was about 3am so we all headed to bed.
Even though we had a fair few tantrums and silly behaviour, the kids had a great time!

Christmas 2011

Well Christmas Eve i was woken up by Max screaming because he'd been sick everywhere! So once he was cleaned up and calmed down (he doesnt get sick much thank god but when he does he's such a drama queen about it all!!) we settled on the sofa and i got him a drink.
He just wanted to be cuddled and thats where we stayed until i had to rush to the toilet to throw up! So all day, me, Max and Dru all had s&d so it was a fight for the toilet
I felt sorry for Alfie, he pretty much had to amuse himself all day
Then by the evening Max was feeling better so he managed to eat a little dinner and so did Dru but i couldnt keep anything down. I was getting upset that i'd be ill all xmas day too.
Then xmas morning (after a very restless nights sleep), the kids woke up at 7.30 and came running in to me to wake me up. Dru was already up.
The kids opened their pressies are were both high as a kite! They loved it!
Max was so excited that Santa had eaten his cake and had the drink he left out! Bless him.
I opened my pressies from Dru... I got a kindle (which i was totally not expecting but wanted- shows he does listen when i ramble on!!), loads of chocolates and a note saying that my camera was on the way but hadnt arrived yet. So thats still to come. He also gave me some kindle vouchers to buy some books on it too.
Dru made a huge fry up and everyone stuffed their faces except me as i was still not 100% so i had one bit of bacon before nearly chucking up again.
We went to my dads house and my mum had been ill all night so she wasnt feeling great. The boys opened their pressies from my mum... Max got a bike and Alfie got a boy baby doll and a blue buggy.
Then my mum had to go and get my sister, nan and grandad while my dad and Dru played nice and cooked dinner.
When they arrived we all opened more presents.
Max got a Buzz lightyear costume from Nicole and shirt and boots from my dad (they'd already had the presents from my grandparents a few days earlier). Alf got Woody costume from Nicole and a shirt and Thomas book and toy from my dad.
Mum got me a Louis Vuitton bag and Dru an aftershave set. Nicole got us a toasted sandwich maker (which ive wanted but never got round to buying lol) and dad gave us spending money for Disneyland.
I started to feel better as the day went on and dinner was lovely!
We all enjoyed ourselves! Mum didnt eat as she couldnt keep anything down and then dad threw up just before dinner so he didnt eat either. We were such a lurgy house! Haha
We came home about 7ish and the kids went straight to sleep!
Boxing day, i went and picked sil Chantel up and she spent the day with us. I more than made up for being ill and eat sooooo much (and drank quite a bit too).
So apart from being a bit poorly, it was a lovely xmas!

Max's First Day At School

Max woke up about 8ish this morning and straight away, kept saying that he didnt want to go to nursery and that he was scared.
I kept telling him how fun it would be and how he'd make lots of new friends and he started coming round to the idea.
Once he was in his uniform he was better...
We left our house about 9.10 and walked up to the school.. We got there early (about 9.20) and waited outside. Max was starting to get nervous again so i told him that if he needed anything then he knew his teacher and he could ask her.
The gates opened at 9.30 and in we all went. Max found his peg with a picture of him above it. He hung his bag up and then found the box to put their drinks in. Then he found his tray and put his spare clothes in there.
One of the teachers called him over to play with the play dough and that was it... he was off.
I was in two minds whether to say bye and risk him getting upset or just sneaking out but i didnt have the heart to sneak out so i said goodbye, he gave me a kiss, waved to Alfie and Dru and that was it!
Onthe walk home i felt so emotional! I wanted to cry!
As soon as we walked out of the nursery door Alfie asked where Max was. I told him that Max was staying at nursery and we'd get him later.
ALL MORNING Alfie asked for Max, he even had a tantrum and threw his trainers off the balcony because he wanted Max! (We got the shoes back!)
Then at 11.15 i told Alf we were going to collect Max and his face lit up!
We got to the nursery just before 11.30 and when the gates opened, we went in to get him. They were all sitting in the quiet area and Max's teacher told us he was wearing his spare trousers because he decided to play in the mud and go on the muddy slide
He was all smiles when he came out. He told us that he played in the garden in the mud and on the slide. He said he done the music bells in the garden too.
He said he played with the water and the sand, built with the block, played with play dough, cars and trains and done some drawings.
He said he made a new friend and seemed very impressed that his name was Alfie.
He is very excited to go back tomorrow!
